John Gofmann is a physician and a doctor of nuclear/physical chemistry and
was an Associate Director ('62-'69) at the Lawrence Livermore Lab and co-founder
of the Laboratories Biomedical Research Division ('63-'72) during which his
program evaluated the role of ionizing radiation and chromosomal injury in
human cancer causation. Included is much of his research results of the genetic effects of
radiation exposure.
Included on this site is a full text 1982 book, "The First Atomic Veteran"
with chapters 1 and 2, "Killing Our Own" and "Under The Mushroom Cloud",
by Wasserman and Solomon; and "The Bonds of Trust vs Deceit by DOE", among
many other interesting articles and comments.
